Programme Details

Taking inspiration from Chongqing, one of the biggest cities in the world which has been an important political, economic and strategic centre in China’s west, our summer camp hosted at the campus of AISL Harrow Chongqing will enthuse and encourage students to step out of their comfort zone, expand their horizons and take on new challenges. The camp will combine Sports, STEAM and Leadership sessions providing an all-round experience for students who want to grow into leaders of the future.

Chongqing is known as “mountain city” because of its rugged terrain and steep gorges. The city is crisscrossed with mountains and rivers and the campus of AISL Harrow Chongqing embraces these natural contours and vistas to integrate nature into the daily lives of the students.

The architecture of the school buildings reflect the original design of Harrow School on the Hill in North London by and using contemporary design concepts to create a truly Harrovian environment. The site also has been designed to give a sense of harmony, utilizing green spaces to partition different areas, accentuating their uniqueness and creating the best possible learning environment for students – it’s the perfect environment for a summer camp experience!

Sports - Frame the Game

Over the course of the three-week Camp, students will have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports. These include basketball, tennis, ultimate frisbee, swimming, football, and golf. Working in partnership with leading sports organizations such as AC Milan, PGA of America, Five-Star Basketball and Tennis Academies, training sessions will be geared towards developing skills, teamwork, and encouraging a love of the game. Students will be divided into age and skill levels, with training sessions focused on individual and team skills, strategy, and tactics.

Being a proactive leader in basketball means taking control of the game and being on the front foot. Students will learn how to sharpen their ball-handling, shooting, and defensive skills, making them top scorers on the court. They will also learn how to communicate effectively with their teammates and make quick decisions under pressure. Most importantly, they will develop the proactivity to take control of the game and lead their team to victory. Don't miss the chance to be a part of this exciting sports programme and develop proactive leadership skills.

STEAM - Power Up with Renewables

Recognizing the importance and increasing popularity of STEAM subjects, our Summer Camp will offer a programme of fun and engaging sessions that take advantage of the superb facilities on offer. Throughout the camp, students will be expected to brainstorm innovative ideas, explore new skills, use their imagination and creativity while working towards a goal. With various themes on offer, all sessions will challenge and excite our young scientists of the future. Whether students are learning about computer programming and coding, science or robotics, the sessions have been designed to inspire and excite!

As part of our STEAM programme, we offer Power Up with Renewables, which allows students to explore the latest developments in renewable energy, including solar, wind, and hydro power. Through this programme, students will learn how to apply their STEAM skills to design and build their own renewable energy solutions. By participating in Power Up with Renewables, students will discover the proactivity to take action and make a difference in creating a sustainable future. This programme not only empowers students to make a positive impact on the world, but also becomes a part of a global movement towards a greener, cleaner planet. Don't miss the chance to develop your skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Leadership - Take Initiative

In partnership with Stanford University professor Colin Ong’s Youth Creativity, Innovation and Sustainable Leadership programme, our Summer Camp will focus on creative energy exploration and EQ enriched leadership mindsets. Through this programme, students will learn how to develop their fast-thinking creativity skills, problem solve, and develop innovative ideas. They will also learn about building effective teams and encouraging teamwork.

Being a proactive leader means taking the initiative and driving change, and we believe in empowering our students to do just that. Through our leadership programme, students will learn how to identify opportunities and take the initiative to pursue them. They will develop the courage and confidence to make decisions and take calculated risks. Most importantly, they will discover the proactivity to drive change and make a positive impact on their community. Leaders who take the initiative are the ones who make a difference and inspire others to follow. Join us and discover your potential to become a proactive leader and innovator of the future.

The AISL Outdoor Summer Camp at Harrow Chongqing is set to be a fantastic opportunity for students to work with top coaches and leaders who will stretch and challenge them while ensuring they have fun. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will provide students with the chance to develop new skills, make lasting friendships, and create unforgettable memories. Our dedicated team of coaches and leaders are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where students can learn and grow both on and off the field.
