Drama Through Puppeteering (Half-Day Camp)
Drama Through Puppeteering is an imaginative and expressive drama programme that uses puppetry as a powerful storytelling and communication tool. Through guided dramatic play, students bring characters to life, explore emotions, and develop language and creativity within a safe and supportive environment. A specially curated drama story forms the foundation of the programme, enabling students to animate animal characters through engaging dialogue and performance.

Programme Highlights
- Puppetry as a Creative Gateway: Students use puppets as expressive tools to explore storytelling, emotions, and communication, allowing ideas and feelings to be voiced through character in a supportive and imaginative way.
- Safe and Supportive Expression: Puppetry creates a psychologically safe space in which students can experiment with voice, movement, and performance without fear, building confidence and encouraging risktaking in a positive learning environment.
- Original, Curated Drama Narrative: A specially developed drama story provides a strong narrative framework, enabling students to animate animal characters through rich dialogue, interaction, and dramatic structure.
- Integrated Voice and Movement Training: Students explore vocal techniques such as pace, pause, projection, and contrast, alongside physical storytelling through gesture and puppetry movement, developing clear and engaging stage presence.
- Imaginative Character Development: Guided activities support students in creating distinctive characters, making creative choices, and developing thoughtful interpretations that bring puppets vividly to life.
- Collaborative Ensemble Work: Group rehearsals foster teamwork, listening skills, and collaborative problemsolving as students learn to perform together and support one another on stage.
- Progressive Rehearsal Process: Learning is scaffolded from exploration and experimentation to structured rehearsal, ensuring students build skills and confidence steadily throughout the programme.
