The programme is designed to immerse students in the unique intersection of coastal adventure, island culture, and creative self-expression that defines Hong Kong. From stand-up paddleboarding along Hong Kong’s northern coastline to connecting with sustainable island life on Lamma Island, trekking through waterfalls in Tai Shui Hang Gorge, and expressing personal stories through guided art therapy sessions, each day is thoughtfully designed to combine adventure with meaning.

For day camps, the fee includes study materials, providing the necessary resources for each student's daily activities and learning experiences.
For residential camps, the fee encompasses
accommodation, meals, study materials, and Public Liability Insurance, ensuring
a comprehensive package for the duration of the stay.
Please be aware that transportation to and from the camp, flight tickets, visa fees, and personal travel insurance are not included in the camp fees and should be arranged separately by the participants.

- Residential Experience at Harrow International School Hong Kong
Students will stay on campus at Harrow International School Hong Kong, experiencing life within a premium international boarding environment. Modern boarding facilities, expansive green spaces, and dedicated residential staff provide a safe, supportive setting that fosters independence, responsibility, and strong peer connections. - Stand-Up Paddleboarding & Paddle UK START Award Certification
Learn essential paddleboarding skills at Old Cafeteria Beach before embarking on guided coastal journeys exploring calm bays and sea caves. Under expert instruction, students complete Paddle UK’s START Award Certification, gaining internationally recognised foundational skills in paddling technique, water safety, and environmental awareness. - Lamma Island Community Immersion
Travel by ferry to Lamma Island to experience local village life, visit a sustainable community farm, and take part in a hands-on farm-to-table cooking challenge, harvesting fresh ingredients and baking pizzas in wood-fired ovens. - Creativity, Culture & Art Therapy
Engage in cultural heritage workshops inspired by Hong Kong traditions, including stamp art and Chinese calligraphy, alongside guided art therapy sessions that encourage reflection, emotional expression, and self-awareness. - Gorge Trekking & Nature Adventure
Explore the dramatic landscapes of Tai Shui Hang Gorge, trekking through waterfalls and rock pools while learning basic survival, navigation, and outdoor safety skills. - Team Challenges & Explorer Extravaganza
Daily collaborative challenges build leadership, communication, and trust, culminating in a high-energy Explorer Extravaganza—a multi-station team competition that brings together the skills developed throughout the week. - Expert Facilitation & High Supervision Ratios
The programme is led by an experienced outdoor education team with over 25 years of expertise in experiential learning. For all technical and water‑based activities, supervision is maintained at a 1:6 facilitator‑to‑student ratio, ensuring close guidance, clear communication, and a strong focus on safety and skill development. - Comprehensive Safety & Risk Management
Student safety is a core priority. The programme operates under a comprehensive Safety Management System informed by international best practices, including Paddle UK (British Canoeing), NZOIA, and Rescue 3 frameworks. All lead facilitators are First Aid certified and equipped with radios, mobile phones, and first aid kits. Thorough risk assessments, clear emergency protocols, and 24/7 operational support ensure a safe and wellmanaged experience at all times.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the programme, students will:

- Develop leadership and teamwork skills by collaborating in diverse, real-world situations

- Earn Paddle UK’s START Award Certification, recognising achievement in foundational paddle sports skills
