For day camps, the fee includes study materials, providing the necessary resources for each student's daily activities and learning experiences.
Please be aware that transportation to and from the camp, flight tickets, visa fees, and personal travel insurance are not included in the camp fees and should be arranged separately by the participants.

Designed by Professor Jue Yao SBS, BBS, JP, one of Asia’s most celebrated violinists and Founder and Artistic Director of HKSO, the programme blends elite musical training, artistic mentorship, and an extraordinary live performance experience at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, one of the city’s most prestigious cultural venues.
Across five intensive days, participants will move beyond the rehearsal room to experience the full lifecycle of a professional concert—observing dress rehearsals, exploring backstage operations, receiving masterclass guidance, and ultimately performing on a world class stage. This immersive journey offers young musicians not only technical growth, but a deeper understanding of artistry, discipline, and the collaborative spirit of ensemble music making.

About Jue Yao SBS, BBS, JP.– HKSO Founder & Artistic Director
Professor Jue Yao SBS, BBS, JP is one of Asia’s most respected violinists, educators, and cultural leaders. A graduate of the Juilliard School, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, she has performed extensively across Asia, Europe, and the United States, appearing in prestigious concert halls and with leading orchestras worldwide. Her distinguished career has been recognised with numerous honours, including the Silver Bauhinia Star, Bronze Bauhinia Star, and appointment as a Justice of the Peace by the HKSAR Government.
In addition to her international performing career, Professor Yao is deeply committed to music education and cultural development. She is a fulltime Professor at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and the Founder and Artistic Director of the Hong Kong String Orchestra. Through her work as a performer, educator, and mentor, Professor Yao has inspired generations of young musicians and continues to shape the future of classical music in Hong Kong and beyond.

Founded in 2013, the Hong Kong String Orchestra (HKSO) is one of Hong Kong’s most distinguished professional ensembles, led by internationally acclaimed violinist Professor Jue Yao SBS, BBS, JP as its Founder and Artistic Director. Renowned for its artistic excellence and innovative programming, HKSO is widely recognised for pushing the boundaries of classical music while fostering meaningful East–West cultural exchange. The Orchestra showcases Hong Kong’s finest string performers and plays a leading role in nurturing the city’s musical talent.
HKSO has collaborated with worldclass musicians and ensembles and has toured extensively across Asia, Europe, Australia, and the United States, performing in major concert halls and international festivals.
