As part of the outdoor adventure journey, students take part in a guided mountain biking excursion across Appi’s scenic alpine trails. A comprehensive safety briefing and skills session prepares students to ride with confidence, while teambased challenges along the route encourage cooperation, perseverance, and shared achievement.

Farm Life & Community Connection

At the heart of the programme is its authentic engagement with rural life, offering students rare access to working farms and community initiatives that reflect how people live, work, and care for the land in Japan.

• Participation in a Satoyama grassland regeneration project introduces students to traditional land stewardship practices, highlighting how human activity and ecological sustainability are carefully balanced.
• A horse care and therapy programme at a local farm allows students to take responsibility for feeding, grooming, and caring for horses, maintaining stables, and supporting the daily rhythms of farm life.
• A blueberry harvest and farmtotable workshop guides students through the full journey of food production — from growing and harvesting to sorting, packing, and preparing produce for sale, culminating in the making of homemade blueberry jam.

Nature Exploration & Survival Skills

Students explore the alpine environment through guided outdoor experiences that build curiosity, confidence, and respect for nature.

Final Adventure and Reflection

The programme culminates in the Rocket Building Challenge. Students complete tasks to earn resources, purchase rocket components, assemble their designs, and compete to see whose rocket travels the furthest — developing problem‑solving skills, teamwork, and resilience along the way. A reflective gathering and celebratory feast provide a fitting conclusion, marking the end of an unforgettable journey.
