Fashionistas (Day camp)
Fashionistas (Day camp)
It is a delightful four-day creative adventure designed especially for children aged 6–8, where imagination, play, and hands-on making come together through fashion. Young designers are invited to explore colours, fabrics, textures, and simple design techniques in a joyful, nurturing environment that celebrates creativity and self-expression. Through storytelling, drawing, fabric play, crafting, and beginner sewing activities, children build confidence, fine motor skills, and a sense of pride in what they create. Each student also receives a NoSew Fashion Designer Kit to continue designing at home.

Programme Highlights
A Joyful 4-Day Fashion Adventure
Each day introduces creative experiences through play-based, hands-on activities carefully designed to engage the curiosity, energy and imagination of young learners.
- Day 1: Inspiration & Fashion Design
The week begins with friendly welcome games and name activities to help children feel comfortable and connected. Students create simple storyboards and mood boards, explore fashion illustration using shapes and character-based prompts, and experiment with colour through mixing and matching. The day concludes with a small craft project in which pupils design a fashion outfit on a paper figure, bringing their initial ideas to life. - Day 2: Creating dolls outfits & Draping Play
Students will be introduced to the professional No-Sew Fashion Designer Kit, which includes mini barbie mannequins and child-friendly tools and materials. Through guided fabric play on the mini mannequins, they will learn basic draping techniques, practise safe cutting and pinning (with close supervision), and create outfits for dolls while experimenting with shape and silhouette, building confidence through hans-on discovery. - Day 3: Sewing Basics & Textile Play
Using large plastic needles and soft materials, children learn the basics of hand stitching in a safe and supportive environment. They create a hand sewn stuffed toy and take part in a group sharing session, learning to celebrate their own work and appreciate others' creations. - Day 4: Final Project & Showcase
The final day is filled with excitement and pride. Creativity truly shines as students design and decorate their own tote bags. They explore textile art techniques such as appliqué, fabric markers, sequins, and trims (all nontoxic and child safe), adding personal touches and preparing their projects for the final showcase after lunch. Students add finishing touches to all their creations-including mini mannequin designs, tote bags, mood boards, and stuffed toys. The experience concludes with reflection and a certificate of participation and pride in what kids have accomplished.
Child‑Friendly TakeHome Fashion Kit
Every student receives a NoSew Fashion Designer Kit, thoughtfully curated with safetytested, easytouse materials. This takehome kit allows children to continue designing, decorating, and experimenting after the programme—transforming classroom inspiration into ongoing creative play at home.
PlayBased, StudentCentred Learning
Learning is joyful, exploratory, and handson. Activities are designed to encourage curiosity, imagination, and creative confidence, while gently introducing early design thinking and problemsolving skills. Children are encouraged to express ideas freely and learn through making.
Small Classes & Gentle Mentor Support
With small group sizes and caring guidance, each child receives individual attention and encouragement. Our instructors support different learning styles and help every child feel safe, confident, and proud of their achievements.
A Celebration of Creativity
The programme ends with a joyful showcase, giving children the thrill of sharing their work with family. This positive presentation experience builds confidence, communication skills, and a lasting sense of accomplishment.
