Programme Highlights
- Discovering Money & Its Value: Participants begin by exploring coins and bills through sorting, counting, and identification activities. Interactive challenges help children understand value, comparison, and purchasing power, laying a strong foundation for everyday money awareness.
- Turning Goals into Plans: Students learn how to set both shortterm and longterm goals, understanding that different goals require different amounts of time, effort, and planning. Using drawings, symbols, and images, participants visually map their goals onto the branches of the Money Tree, reinforcing motivation and ownership.
- Needs vs Wants and Smart DecisionMaking: Through storytelling, roleplay, and discussion, students explore the difference between needs and wants and learn why waiting and prioritising are powerful skills. Classroom shop activities encourage thoughtful choices and reflection on how decisions affect goal achievement.
- Saving, Spending & Budgeting in Action: Using play money, students practise earning through simple tasks, deciding how much to save, and planning how to spend. They calculate totals, track savings, adjust budgets, and experience firsthand how changing choices impacts progress—strengthening numeracy skills in a meaningful context.
- Growing Money with Purpose: Participants explore the idea that money can be used not only for personal goals, but also for helping others. Through a mini charity project, students create a special “giving” branch on the Money Tree and discuss kindness, sharing, and positive impact.
- Confidence Through Communication: Public speaking miniworkshops help participants practise clear voices, confident posture, and positive body language. Students prepare and rehearse short presentations, building confidence in explaining their ideas and choices to an audience.
- RealWorld Inspiration: Guest inspiration sessions, including videos or virtual talks, introduce children to real examples of saving, planning, and goalsetting, helping them connect classroom learning to everyday life.
- Celebrate Learning at the Final Showcase: The programme culminates in a joyful showcase where participants present their Money Trees, share what they have learned, and celebrate their progress as confident, thoughtful Super Savers.
