Programme Highlights
- Astronomy & Our Amazing Solar System: Bring the planets to life by painting vibrant, styrofoam models and discover the wonders of space. Craft astronaut helmets to suit up for interstellar adventures and design Mars rovers with simple materials like cardboard and aluminum foil to explore transportation in space.
- Create and Design a Basic Space City Model: Imagine living in space and collaborate with peers to design and construct a shared city of the future. Each participant will proudly present their part of the city to highlight their creative contribution.
- Become a Rocket Scientist: Dive into the basics of rocket science with engaging activities. Decorate mini rockets with personal flair, then launch them sky-high in an exciting, hands-on experience.
Learning Outcomes
- Master Rocket Engineering: By designing, building, and launching their own rockets, students will gain a deep understanding of physics principles and engineering concepts.
- Ignite Interest in STEM: Participants will gain a deeper appreciation for science, technology, engineering, and math as they explore space-themed concepts and engage in hands-on projects.
- Encourage Creativity and Innovation: Activities like designing planets, astronaut helmets, space cities, and rockets will inspire students to think imaginatively and develop innovative problem-solving skills.
- Foster Collaboration and Communication: Team-based projects like space city design will teach participants the value of collaboration, while presenting their creations will help build confidence in public speaking and communication.
- Develop Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: From designing rockets to managing resources in the "Space Economy Monopoly," students will learn how to think critically and solve complex challenges.
