Jingle Stitch Fashion Studio places special emphasis on festive textile keepsakes and Christmas ornaments. Children will discover how fashion materials and sewing techniques can be used not only to create outfits, but also to make decorative objects that can be displayed, gifted, and treasured.
The studio will also include creating a mini festive Barbie fashion collection displayed on miniature mannequins. The programme concludes with a cheerful Jingle Stitch Christmas Tree Showcase, where children’s handmade ornaments are displayed on the Christmas tree alongside their fashion designs, mini-mannequin outfits, stockings, and other creative projects.

Programme Highlights
1. Start with Christmas Inspiration and Fashion Imagination
Children will explore the visual world of Christmas through festive colours, patterns, decorations, fabrics, and textures. They will create simple Christmas moodboards and storyboards using images, colours, materials, ribbons, sparkles, and embellishments.
Through playful fashion illustration activities, children will experiment with shapes, characters, and Christmas-themed prompts. They will design a festive outfit on a paper figure, adding details such as bows, hats, scarves, snowflakes, stars, ribbons, and sparkly decorations.
This first stage introduces children to the idea that designers begin with imagination, inspiration, and storytelling.
2. Explore Colour, Pattern and Festive Styling
Children will learn how to mix and match Christmas-inspired colours such as red, green, white, silver, and gold.
They will explore how colours, shapes, patterns, and decorations can change the feeling of a design — for example, how glitter can make something feel magical, how ribbons can make a design feel celebratory, or how snowflakes can create a winter theme.
Through simple guided activities, children begin to build early design vocabulary and understand how visual choices help communicate an idea.
3. Design a Mini Festive Barbie Collection
Children will be introduced to the exciting world of miniature fashion design. They will learn how fashion designers create outfits for small-scale figures and how a collection can be developed around a festive theme.
Using fabric, ribbons, trims, embellishments, and other decorative materials, children will design and create miniature festive outfits for Barbie dolls and display them on mini mannequins. They will explore how to adapt clothing ideas to a smaller scale while thinking about shape, proportion, colour, and detail.
Through playful styling activities, children will customise their mini garments with bows, sequins, sparkles, lace, ribbons, and festive accessories. They will begin to understand how individual pieces can work together to create a complete mini fashion collection.
4. Complete, Style, and Present the Festive Collection
Children will complete their festive textile keepsakes, Christmas ornaments, and miniature Barbie designs. They will add final embellishments and finishing touches, making each piece personal, decorative, and ready to be displayed or gifted.
They will review their designs and make creative decisions about styling, colour combinations, accessories, and presentation. The children will arrange their mini festive Barbie collection on miniature mannequins, creating a coordinated display inspired by the ideas developed throughout the programme.
The final stage celebrates the children’s creativity and introduces them to the idea of presenting their work as young designers. They will take part in a festive fashion showcase, displaying their completed designs and sharing the inspiration behind their creations.
