Fees include

For residential camps, the fee encompasses accommodation, meals, study materials, and Public Liability Insurance, ensuring a comprehensive package for the duration of the stay.

For day camps, the fee includes study materials, providing the necessary resources for each student's daily activities and learning experiences.

Please be aware that transportation to and from the camp, flight tickets, visa fees, and personal travel insurance are not included in the camp fees and should be arranged separately by the participants.

Programme Levels

  • LAMDA Acting Junior (Ages 7–10: Y3, Y4, Y5)
  • LAMDA Acting Intermediate (Ages 10–13: Y6, Y7, Y8)
  • LAMDA Acting Advanced (Ages 13–16: Y9, Y10, Y11, Y12)

LAMDA Acting – Junior (Ages 7–10)

The Junior level provides a strong foundation for developing acting, expression, and communication skills. Students will explore body awareness, vocal projection, and emotional expression through engaging exercises and activities.

Learning Outcomes

  • Develop confidence and improve posture.
  • Speak with clarity and explore vocal techniques such as pace, pause, and volume.
  • Perform scenes from memory with audibility and clarity.
  • Interpret characters thoughtfully and portray moods effectively.
  • Engage in discussions about character understanding.

LAMDA Acting – Intermediate (Ages 10–13)

At the Intermediate level, students take their performance skills to new heights by focusing on vocal contrast, emotional depth, and creative interpretation. They will gain confidence in engaging audiences and bringing characters to life in unique and compelling ways.

Learning Outcomes

  • Perform scenes with vocal contrast and imaginative character interpretation.
  • Use technical skills, including physical responses to text and an understanding of staging.
  • Engage an audience with effective use of space, movement, and body language.
  • Display emotional depth and thoughtful character portrayal.
  • Discuss character interpretation and performance techniques confidently.

LAMDA Acting – Advanced (Ages 13–16)

The Advanced level challenges students to explore complex characters and deliver compelling performances. Participants will perform three monologues of their choice from different historical periods, showcasing their versatility and mastery of acting techniques.

Learning Outcomes

  • Deliver monologues from memory with clarity, vocal contrast, and emotional depth.
  • Interpret and perform scenes with a mature understanding of the material.
  • Use advanced technical skills, combining physical and vocal flexibility.
  • Engage audiences with confident stage presence and dynamic characterisation.
  • Discuss the key principles and influences of a chosen drama practitioner.
  • Demonstrate ownership, self-awareness, and a sophisticated understanding of their craft.

Monologue Requirements:

Students will select monologues from plays written in three different time periods:

  • Ancient Greek and Roman (500 BC – 4 BC)
  • Elizabethan and Jacobean (1558–1625)
  • Restoration and Post-Restoration (1626–1799)
  • 1800 to 31 December 1979
  • Published on or after 1 January 1980

End-of-Term LAMDA Exam

At the end of each term, students will have the opportunity to participate in a LAMDA examination. These assessments, conducted by certified examiners from the United Kingdom, align with the appropriate grades for each participant, providing a prestigious certification of their progress and achievements.
