2026 AO Summer Camp

Lead with Character: Creating with AI (Day Camp)

Lead with Character: Creating with AI (Day Camp)

As artificial intelligence becomes an everyday part of life, the most important question is no longer whether children will use technology—but how they will use it. This is a thoughtfully designed programme that prepares students to thrive in a technology driven world by developing both AI literacy and strong character. Through hands-on learning, collaboration, and the guided creation of an AI assisted e-book, students discover that technology is powerful, but character is what gives it direction.

Programme Highlights

1. AI & Me — Technology with Purpose

“AI is a tool; character guides how we use it.”

Students begin by exploring what AI is in simple, ageappropriate ways, discovering where it appears in daily life through interactive demonstrations and discussion. Icebreakers help build connection and trust, while key character virtues—such as teamwork and perseverance—set the foundation for the week.

2. Teamwork & Perseverance — Growing Together

“We try, we help each other, we grow together.”

Students design original story characters that represent positive values such as kindness, listening, and cooperation. Through engaging team challenges and problemsolving activities, students experience what it means to persevere, communicate clearly, and support one another when challenges arise.

3. Design Your Story with Character

“Character shows in what we create.”

Working in pairs or small groups, students create a storyboard that communicates a meaningful life lesson. They sketch scenes, write simple dialogue, and identify the character virtues their story highlights. This creative process strengthens logical thinking while deepening students’ understanding of how character shapes choices, behaviours, and relationships.

4. Designing for Good — Creativity Meets Responsible AI

“We use AI and our creativity to design something that inspires others.”

Students brainstorm issues and ideas they care about and begin designing their ebooks. With guided support, students use ageappropriate AI tools to generate or enhance text, images, and layouts, while learning how to communicate effectively with AI through basic promptengineering skills.

5. Future Me — Ebook Showcase & Celebration

“I am a futureready, futurekind leader who uses AI wisely.”

On the final day, students refine their ebooks and reflect on their learning journey. They proudly showcase their completed projects to peers, teachers, and/or parents, celebrating both their technology skills and the character strengths they have developed.
