Programme Highlights
1. Morning Keynotes
Each day begins with a focused lecture from Dr Price on the qualities of outstanding academic scholars. Students learn how to develop these qualities in their own work, and how they translate into a clear advantage in applications, interviews, and academic evaluation.
2. Specialist Subject Sessions
Students then join small-group seminars. These sessions introduce advanced ideas across different subjects. They develop the academic confidence and analytical discipline that distinguish top-performing students.
3. Mini Tasks (with prizes)
Students take part in short, high-intensity academic challenges, including the Micro Thesis Challenge and the Oxford Supervision Simulation. These tasks are designed to identify and strengthen the kind of thinking that sets outstanding students apart. Strong performance is recognised through academic prizes.
4. Debate Lab
Each day includes an interactive debate lab, where students learn to enjoy testing ideas and taking part in the fast-paced academic discussion found in Oxbridge tutorials.
5. Independent Project Lab
Each afternoon, students design and develop an academic project on a topic of their choice. Projects are developed to a standard suitable for interview discussion and academic evaluation.
The week concludes with a formal graduation and prize-giving, with peers, instructors, and families.
