Programme Highlights
- Internationally Recognised PADI Certification: Participants earn the PADI Junior Open Water Diver ecard, a globally recognised certification that allows them to dive at approved locations worldwide and marks an important milestone in their scuba diving journey.
- Progressive, HandsOn Dive Training: A balanced combination of classroom learning, confined water sessions, and openwater dives ensures participants build skills safely and confidently. Each stage reinforces proper technique, buoyancy control, underwater communication, and dive safety.
- Coral Reef and Ecosystems Exploration: Through guided discussions and inwater observation, participants learn how coral reefs function as living ecosystems. They gain an understanding of reef structures, coral health, and the interconnected relationships that sustain marine life, fostering respect for these fragile underwater environments.
- Fish Species and Biodiversity Awareness: Openwater dives provide opportunities to observe and identify a variety of fish species native to Hong Kong waters. Participants learn how biodiversity supports healthy oceans and why responsible diving practices are essential for protecting marine life.
- Personalised Instruction and Safety Focus: With a 1:2 instructortostudent ratio, each participant receives close supervision, individual feedback, and strong safety support, ensuring a positive and confidencebuilding learning experience.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the programme, participants will:
- Build Strong Water Confidence and Physical Readiness: Improve endurance and aquatic competence by meeting swimming and floating requirements, enabling comfort and control in openwater conditions.
- Demonstrate Core Scuba Diving Skills: Safely assemble and use scuba equipment, manage buoyancy, communicate underwater, and perform essential diving skills in both confined and openwater settings.
- Understand Marine Ecosystems and Biodiversity: Recognise coral reef features, understand basic marine ecosystems, and identify common fish species, developing a deeper appreciation for ocean life and conservation.
- Develop Responsibility and Environmental Awareness: Learn to dive responsibly, respect marine habitats, and understand the role divers play in protecting underwater environments.
